Great food, locally sourced, great transformation and work over the ingredients. Presentation is lovely, taste is amazing (and my wife, who has a tendency to find french cuisine a bit "too strong" was extactic. Team was super nice, it seems like a nice place to work, there's a lot of space between the tables, decoration is great and there's very little noise so it's very relaxing. We had a wonderful time.

It wasn’t just ‘delicious’ it was an experience of tasting the architecture of flavor. They layered aroma, texture, and umami into multiple levels, so every bite revealed a different depth. For the first time, I felt what it means to enjoy not just taste itself, but the movement and balance of flavors.

Just got its first Michelin star and a very well-deserved one at that. The cuisine is local and seasonal and there's a list of suppliers in the little menu booklet you can keep! You choose either four or six courses and each course is brought to you with an explanation of what you will experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and, if you need it, speak very, very good English. The novelty and detail of the superbly delicious food would take too long to go into here but most people ask you if you tried the smoked, whipped butter on the sourdough!! Enough said!

We adored visiting Freia during a recent holiday to Nantes. One of our greatest ever high end dining experiences. Alongside the food the friendly and knowledgeable staff were the stars (who were very accommodating of our more limited French capabilities). Experimental without straying into pretentiousness. Great wines by the glass. Amazing ambiance and setting (a secret greenhouse amongst the industrial backdrop of the railway lines - a fun juxtaposition entering a multi story car park elevator and exiting into a rooftop garden). Would recommend the 6 course menu and sharing a cheese board between 2. A truly memorable night
